Father-in-law of a Bihar-cadre IAS officer Mukesh Pandey who committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Thursday evening said that his daughter is not at fault and somebody is hatching a conspiracy against her.
"There was not even a day he didn't call his father-in-law; nothing happened that could affect their marital life," said Father-in-law of DM Buxar.
Earlier on Friday, Father-in-law of DM Buxar denied any rift in the family. He said that it is tough time for the family and whatever TV channels are showing is baseless.
According to government railway police sources, the 2012 batch IAS officer’s body was recovered a kilometer away from Ghaziabad GRP police station area.
Mukesh Pandey was found dead near railway tracks in Ghaziabad with a purported suicide note indicating he was “upset” due to marital issues, police said.
Pandey’s body was found on the tracks about one km from the Ghaziabad railway station late on Thursday night and a suicide note was also recovered from the spot, they said.
In a purported video, which he recorded at Buxar Circuit House in Bihar, Pandey, a 2012-batch IAS officer spoke about how he was fed up with his life and the constant tussle between his parents and his wife.
In it, he mentioned that even his wife loved him and vice-versa, they had different personalities and were like ‘chalk and cheese’. He had also mentioned about lying to them about his going to Delhi to commit suicide.
“My parents and wife have constant tussle. Their tussle has made my life difficult. They love me a lot but excess of everything is bad,” he said in the five-minute long video.
