New Delhi:
Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens turned violent in some parts of the country on Thursday. Today Ahmedabad Police has detained 49 people in connection with the violence. Meanwhile, Jamia Millia Islamia and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh metro stations in Delhi were opened on Friday, around 24 hours after they were shut in view of protests in the city against the amended Citizenship Act.
