Ayodhya Verdict Countdown Begins, CJI Ranjan Gogoi To Meet Top UP Officials Today

The countdown has begun for Ayodhya verdict, the most-awaited judgment that will have a far-reaching impact on Indian society and polity. With Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi retiring on November 17, the tentative timeframe for the Ayodhya verdict is within the next week. Ahead of the verdict, the CJI will hold a special meeting with top Uttar Pradesh officials in his chamber today. The meeting will be attended by Uttar Pradesh chief secretary and director general of police. British-born writer Aatish Ali Taseer’s mother and veteran journalist Tavleen Singh on Friday came out in support of her son after Centre revoked his Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card saying, she will always stand up for the rights of her family. Moody's Changes India's Outlook To 'Negative' From 'Stable' Citing Poor Economic Growth

US Increases H1B Visa Application Fee By $10 For New E-Registration System

The United States has announced the increase of H-1B work visa application fee by USD 10 as part of its revised selection process. This non-refundable fee will support the new electronic registration system to make the H-1B cap selection process more efficient for both petitioners and the federal agency, said the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Thursday. A soldier was killed after Pakistani rangers on Friday violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector.
