Tata Trusts on Saturday has committed Rs. 500 crore to all affected communities. “The COVID-19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges we will face as a race. The Tata Trusts and the Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time,” Ratan Tata tweeted. The fund will be used Personal Protective Equipment for the medical personnel on the frontlines, testing kits to increase per capita testing, respiratory systems for treating increasing cases, setting up modular treatment facilities for infected patients, knowledge management and training of health workers and the general public, the company said in a statement.
"The situation in India and across the world is of grave concern and needs immediate action. Tata Trusts and the Tata group’s companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time. In this exceptionally difficult period, I believe that urgent emergency resources need to be deployed to cope with the needs of fighting the COVID 19 crisis, which is one of the toughest challenges the human race will face," the statement reads.

Several billionaires like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Agarwal, Anand Mahindra, and others have committed to donate to tackle deadly COVID-91 virus. Apart from providing Rs 5 crore to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Reliance Foundation is also providing meals to people in various cities.
Bajaj Group has also pledged Rs 100 crore towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. "In the ongoing fight against coronavirus, we all need to come forward in ways more than ever before, to ensure that all citizens of our country have access to healthcare and other necessities of life. Today we pledge Rs 100 crore to the fight against Covid-19," Bajaj Group head Rahul Bajaj said.
Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has asked its manufacturing units to make ventilators to strengthen efforts to combat the disease. Similarly, Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Resources, has pledged Rs 100 for fight against COVID-19.
