New Delhi:

The number of deaths because of deadly coronavirus is inching towards 100 with a significant increase in the number of confirmed infections on April 4. However, the government said that the rate of spread was less than in many other countries and there is no need to panic. Officials also underlined that over 1,000 confirmed coronavirus cases are linked to Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi last month. The Health Ministry has ramped up the testing capacity significantly to over 10,000 tests per day to detect the COVID-19 infection and emphasised on the need for continuous compliance to lockdown and social distancing measures.
