India's Mars Orbiter, Mangalyaan has captured Cyclonic Helen, which is likely to hit southern Andhra Pradesh coast on Friday afternoon.

This is the very first picture of India captured by the satellite.

The image, which was captured on November 19, shows the formation of cyclone Helen east of Andhra Pradesh in the Bay of Bengal. The space craft was about 68,000 kilometers above India when it captured the picture.  

The satellite has a 'Mars Colour Camera' that weighs 1.5 kilograms. The camera can take photos at a resolution of 20 meters.

The Rs 150 crore satellite that weighs 1350 kilogram was launched on November 5 from Sriharikota.
