New Delhi:

Fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s flat in Nagpada area of Mumbai has been sold in an auction by SAFEMA (Smuggling And Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act). The flat has been sold for Rs 1.80 crore. None of Haseena’s relatives could prove that the flat was bought using money obtained through legal source. Dawood’s mother Amina and sister Haseena took over the properties, after the gangster escaped the country in the late 80s. Last year, one property belonging to don Dawood Ibrahim was auctioned by SAFEMA. Haseena Parkar died in 2014. In April 2018, the Supreme Court passed an order for seizure of Dawood’s seven properties in Nagpada.

Haseena Parker was the younger sister of Dawood Ibrahim, seventh among 11 siblings, who was married to Ismail Parker. It was the murder of Ismail Parkar by Dawood's rival Arun Gawli gang that led Haseena into the crime world. Dawood took revenge of Ismail's murder in JJ Hospital shootout in 1991.

While Nagpada residents called her 'aapa' or elder sister, it is said that Haseena ran her crime syndicate from Golden Hall and reportedly had assets worth Rs 5,000 crore.

According to an Indian Express report, between 2005 and 2007, Haseena Parker was the most tailed Dawood family member, with intelligence inputs of sightings of her in Dubai as she left the country for religious tours.

Haseen Parker is survived by three children - two daughters and a son.

On March 25, Shakeel Ahmed Sheikh alias Shakeel Lambu, a former aide of Dawood Ibrahim
died at South Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital on Monday. Shakeel Lambu was suffering from heart ailments and was undergoing treatment for the same for the last few days.

Shakeel Ahmed Sheikh had fled the country after the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He was arrested in Mumbai on the basis of tip-off provided by central agencies in 2003 when he returned to India. Shakeel was said to be close to Mohammad Dossa and handled finance of the gang after Dawood and other members of the D-company fled the country.
