Delhi: Seven school children injured as mini-bus collides with van

Seven children were among eight people injured when a mini-bus and a van, both carrying school students, collided at Alipur area in New Delhi on Saturday, police said.

The incident took place at around 8:00 AM when a mini-bus of St John's School collided with a van of Rana Model School. The van driver and five of the 10 children travelling in the vehicle were injured, while two of the seven children of the bus were hurt.

"The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. One of the children has suffered a fracture while others suffered minor injuries and have been discharged after first aid," a police officer said.

The van's driver has lodged a case of negligent driving against the driver of the mini-bus.
