New Delhi:

India has strongly hit out at Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's UNGA address and gave point by point rebuttal buy exercising its 'right to reply' at United Nations. India's case was presented by a decorated Indian Foreign Services (IFS) officer, Vidisha Maitra. In her speech, Maitra said the choice of Khan's words to attack India, like "pogrom", "pick up the gun" "racial superiority", "bloodbath", and "fight to the end", reflected a "medieval mindset and not a 21st Century vision". She also slammed Khan for his veiled threat of nuclear devastation and said it was an example of 'brinkmanship' and not 'statesmanship'.

Maitra, an IFS officer of 2008 batch, is the first secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and holds the official designation of the Deputy Secretary (DS) of the Policy Planning and Research (PP&R) Division. She has also been awarded with EAM's Ambassador Bimal Sanyal Memorial Prize Gold Medal Best Officer Trainee in 2009.

She is being praised by one and all for her speech and became an instant social media star drawing praise back home from one and all. While people are praising Maitra, let us tell you that India’s women power has shown Pakistan its real faces at several occasions in the past.

Earlier in 2017, Paulomi Tripathi - Indian diplomat at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations had exposed Pakistan when it used a 'fake picture' in the UNGA to push a 'completely false narrative'. "The Permanent Representative of Pakistan misled this Assembly by displaying this picture to spread falsehood about India. A fake picture to push a completely false narrative," Tripathi had said after Permanent Representative of Pakistan Maleeha Lodhi had presented an image of a girl from Gaza as a victim of pellet guns in Kashmir.

Another Indian Diplomat Eenam Gambhir had set the internet on fire after her powerful speech at the United Nations. Saying that "Pakistan is now Terroristan," Gambhir spoke of the safe havens and protection that Pakistan provided to terrorists such as Osama Bin Laden and Mullah Omar.

"Its current state can be gauged from the fact that Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, a leader of the United Nations designated terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, is now sought to be legitimised as a leader of a political party," she had said.
