Etawah:
The 20-year-old girl, who was allegedly gangraped and set afire by a youth in Desarmau village in Ekdil area, died during treatment at a hospital, officials said on Friday.
The girl died last night, they said. The victim was undergoing treatment at the hospital in Saifai after she was allegedly gangraped and set afire by theyouth, who was pressurising her to marry and his associates, on July 11.
According to the FIR lodged by the victim's brother, Farman and his five associates raped the girl and then set ablaze her.
Infuriated over the incident, the locals had tried to set Farman's house ablaze but the elders in the village mediated and brought the situation under control.
