New Delhi:

Former AAP MLA Rajesh Garg on Thursday claimed to have received a threat call, a day after he accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of trying to poach six Congress MLAs to form government last year.

Garg said the caller, who claimed to be an “AAP fan”, told him not to take the matter forward.

“Let it stay like this. I am an Aam Aadmi Party fan. You are clever enough, which is why I am saying. I will do nothing. Only time will say what will happen. Don’t take the matter ahead. You also have my number displayed,” according to the conversation narrated by Garg.

“The call I received was from an international number. I have recorded the conversation and sent a copy of the recording to the police,” Garg said.

The former Rohini MLA, who shares an uneasy relationship with the party leadership, had recorded a conversation between him and Kejriwal in which the Delhi chief minister is purportedly heard asking Garg to break six Congress MLAs and form another party which could support the AAP.

Lashing out at Garg, the party had said that recording was passed on by a “disgruntled element” who was denied a party ticket.
