The purpose of the workshop, as per the agency, “is to improve positivity, enhance synergy and generate a healthy atmosphere in the agency and to motivate the staff to achieve their full potential.”

The agency has been facing a leadership and credibility crisis with two of its most senior officers – CBI Director Alok Verma and his deputy, Special Director Rakesh Asthana accusing each other of corruption.

Both Verma and Asthana had been divested of their powers and sent on indefinite leaves by the government after they traded allegations of bribery and wrongdoings.
