Bravery, kindness and humanity are in the blood of Indians and Indian security forces. Garud commando Jyoti Prakash Nirala was very brave and he had laid down his life in the line of duty. Jyoti Prakash Nirala was martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. However, before laying down his life, the Garud commando eliminated five terrorists in different encounters.

The nation saluted Jyoti Prakash Nirala for his bravery and he was conferred with Ashok Chakra posthumously during the Republic Day celebrations in 2018. It is to be noted that the Ashok Chakra is the highest peacetime gallantry award that is given in India.

And now, his fellow soldiers from the Indian Air Force’s Garud Commando Force came forward to honour the martyr by helping in the marriage of his sister in Patna.

It is worth mentioning here that Nirala was the lone son in the family which has four daughters. The family was facing financial issues after Nirala’s martyrdom. Nirala’s family was finding it difficult to ensure enough funds for the marriage of his sister. As soon as the issue came in light, the fellow Garud Commandos of Nirala helped his family financially.

Yes, you read it right. According to the media reports, each commando in the force contributed Rs 500 each and in this way, nearly Rs 5 lakhs were collected. The funds were used to organise the marriage of Nirala's sister.

In pictures that have gone viral on social media, some of the commandos can be seen making the bride walk on their palms as a mark of respect. Take a look:

This gesture of fellow commandos has earned a lot of praise on the social media.
