BJP’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a dig at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at rally in Kheda in Gujarat. He said our Prime Minister promised to give money to make road of ‘Dandi’, a heritage road, but till yet nothing has been received and done from their side.

Narendra Modi was in Kheda to inaugurate a hospital that is being run by members of Muslim community.

In a reply to the Prime Minister’s allegation on Narendra Modi for changing history and geography during his rally in Chhattisgarh, Modi said, “Six months ago PM wrote a letter to me, saying that it will be better if we alter the path of Dandi road by 30 kms, so who is changing geography here.”

Highlighting the contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, Sardar Patel, Modi further said, “The great contribution of Sardar Patel and Dr Ambedkar has been forgotten just to glorify one family. And BJP is never in favour of dividing legacies.”

“It is written in our heritage that to serve a needy is equal to serve god but nowadays the needy and poor are forgotten by the ruling government. Moreover in 1857, Hindus and Muslims fought together, but it was named Revolt and why it is still named as 'revolt' in textbooks,” further added Modi.

While questioning the government Modi said, Nehruji and Indiraji were honoured with Bharat Ratna when they were alive, but Dr. Ambedkar was given his demise, why?

Accusing the opposition minister Narendra Modi further questioned the opposition, that your ministers went to Andaman& Nicobar Islands and removed the board which had the names of those who gave their lives for our independence, what was the reason behind this.
