Happy Birthday PM: From 70-Feet Cake To 'Article 370' Laddoo, Modi Fans Celebrate Big Day

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 69 on Tuesday, his admirers across India are celebrating the birthday with colourful and unique ideas. In Varanasi, which is PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency, his fans lit up beautiful earthen lamps to celebrate the birthday in traditional way. Another Modi fan offered a gold crown of 1.25 kg to Lord Hanuman at famous Sankat Mochan temple to pray for the Prime Minister’s good health. Talking about this special gesture, Arvind Singh, a fan of PM Modi, said that, "Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, I took a vow to offer gold crown weighing 1.25 kg to Lord Hanuman if Modi ji formed govt for the second time."

In Delhi, state BJP chief Manoj Tiwari and other party leaders celebrated PM Modi’s birthday with special ‘Article 370’ giant laddoo. In Bhopal, BJP workers cut a 70-feet long cake in honour of their beloved leader. On his birthday, PM Modi is visiting his home state Gujarat.  The prime minister will be in Ahmedabad and is scheduled to visit Sardar Sarovar Dam at Kevadiya. Several arrangements have been being made to welcome Modi at the dam site. After visiting the dam site at Kevadiya, the prime minister would address a gathering.

On his 68th birthday last year, Modi was in his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi with school children. He visited a primary school and celebrated his birthday with students. He later offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple there.

Several top leaders wished the Prime Minister on Twitter also. Union Home Minister Amit Shah described PM Modi as a leader with strong willpower and a symbol of decisive leadership and hard work. "Under your leadership, an emerging India has made a mark in the world as a strong, safe and reliable nation," Shah said on Twitter.

Rajnath Singh said the Prime Minister has been instrumental in building and strengthening India's position in the comity of nations.

"His visionary leadership has helped India in scaling new heights of glory. I pray for his good health and long life," the defence ministry tweeted.
