Haryana Police foils Lawrence Bishnoi's plan to murder Salman Khan; arrests gangster Sampat Nehra

In a spine-chilling revelation, a Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police on Sunday became aware of a deadly plan of Lawrence Bishnoi, who was cooking a murder plot to execute Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Earlier on Wednesday, the STF arrested gangster Sampat Nehra, who was sent to Mumbai for a recce as part of the plan.

In the first round of his survey, Nehra took several pictures of the Galaxy Apartments - the actor's residence and the routes leading to it in order to make the plan successful. He was also keeping a close tab to Khan's movement for the last two days.

"In the first week of May, Sampat Nehra was in Mumbai and surveyed the house of Salman Khan and the time when he comes out in the balcony of his house to wave to his fans," Satheesh Balan, DIG of Haryana STF said.

"He tried to find out the distance to the balcony and had even taken few photographs of the house," Balan added.

Nehra, 28, is a sharpshooter and belongs to Rajasthan's notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He is a wanted in over a dozen cases of murder, extortion, and robbery. Nehra, son of a retired assistant sub-inspector of Chandigarh police, met Bishnoi while serving a jail term in Patiala.

Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Bharatpur jail of Rajasthan, is running the network through social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp.

In January, Bishnoi had threatened Salman Khan in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The 52-year-old actor was awarded five years of imprisonment for killing two blackbucks while shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. He spent two nights at the Jodhpur Central Jail and was later released on bail.

Following this chilling revelation, Nehra would be produced in the court for remand and further investigation.
