New Delhi:

Ministry of Human Resource Development has asked IITs and entral universities across the country to host rock bands playing patriotic music in their campuses.

A senior official of the HRD ministry said, “A private entertainment firm has been taken on boards which has identified at least 12 rock bands.”

The ministry has asked the institutions to host music bands who would be performing patritoic numbers under the programme named ‘Yeh India ka time hai’.

The programme ‘Yeh India ka time ha’ is being organised to celebrate 70 years if India’s Independence and 75 years of Quit India Movement this year.

The ministry has asked the institutions to host music bands who would be performing patriotic numbers in the college campus.

The government has identified the bands which would be soon visiting college campuses across the country and perform patriotic numbers. The songs to be played by these bands would be especially the ones from the Bollywood.

The government earlier this month has asked all universities and educational institutions to take students to memorials of freedom fighters and residences of martyrs.
