New Delhi:

Congress Party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has stirred a fresh controversy by stating that ‘Pakistan has accepted the policy of continuous dialogue but New Delhi has not’ during a program in Karachi at a time terrorists sponsored by across the border attack a army camp in Jammu in which 6 army personnel were killed and at least 10 suffered bullet injuries.

Aiyar during the program called  ‘Love Thy Neighbour: India-Pakistan Relations’ on Sunday said, “There is only one way of resolving India-Pakistan issue and that is by an uninterrupted and uninterruptible dialogue.”

Aiyar further went on saying that ‘Islamabad has accepted the policy of continuous dialogue but New Delhi has not.”

The Congress leader also added, “Pakistan has improved drastically in its approach towards its neighbours but India has changed but very marginally.”

The Congress leader went on to compare himself as Sisyphus and said, “I can push for dialogue like Greek legend rolled an immense boulder up a hill.”

“I love Pakistan, because I love India. Love thy neighbour as thyself,” the Congress leader added.

Aiyar also stated that the major issue between the two countries are ‘Kashmir’ and India directed terrorism.”

He further suggested that India and Pakistan should go back to the framework that was formulated during former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s tenure.
