New Delhi:

In what could be the fiercest ever attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS)'s Hindutva ideology, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday compared the right-wing organisation with German leader Adolf Hitler, saying that its theory of Hindu supremacy, which is currently affecting Pakistan, will eventually lead to suppression of Indian Muslims.

The prime minister further alleged that the recent curfew, crackdown and impending genocide of Kashmiris in 'Indian Occupied Kashmir' was a result of RSS' Nazi-inspired ideology and asked if the world would watch and appease it too as they did Hitler at Munich.

"The curfew, crackdown and impending genocide of Kashmiris in IOK is unfolding exactly acc to RSS ideology inspired by Nazi ideology. Attempt is to change demography of Kashmir through ethnic cleansing. Question is: Will the world watch & appease as they did Hitler at Munich?" the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader tweeted.

"I am afraid this RSS ideology of Hindu Supremacy, like the Nazi Aryan Supremacy, will not stop in IOK; instead it will lead to suppression of Muslims in India & eventually lead to targeting of Pakistan. The Hindu Supremacists version of Hitler's Lebensraum," Khan wrote in another tweet.

Khan's statement comes on the heels of Indian government's decision to revoke Article 370 of the Constitution to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the region into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. The move has worsened the already-heightened tension between the two countries.

In reaction to India's move, Pakistan downgraded the diplomatic relations by expelling the Indian High Commissioner on Wednesday and suspended trade ties with New Delhi. On Friday, itannounced that it will suspend the Thar Express train service with India which links the two countries across the Rajasthan border, a day after it stopped the Samjhauta Express.

The Imran Khan government in Pakistan has also banned the screening of Indian films in the country's cinemas.
