In UP, Rahul Gandhi slams Akhilesh government

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched the national campaign for Congress in Akhilesh’s Uttar Pradesh.

In his speech, Rahul Gandhi slammed Akhilesh government by saying that they have failed to deliver for Uttar Pradesh.

“UP government has laptop schemes but no electricity in the state,” said Rahul.

In 2012 UP elections, both young politicians were projected as the face of their party but it was Akhilesh Yadav who was handed the steering with his youth centric schemes like free laptops for students.

‘’There is no wrong or right time to speak the truth,’’ said Rahul Gandhi over the ordinance. He also claimed politics behind the implementation of Food security scheme.

‘’UP Govt will not implement Food security scheme until 2014 polls are over as they fear that Congress will trump them in polls,’’ said Rahul during his speech.

Congress vice president also mentioned that his government will try to provide food for as low as Rs 1.

He also mentioned that it was his party which not only fought for land and rights of farmers but got the land acquisition bill passed.

Without forgetting Muzaffarnagar violence, he said that whole agitation was a result of politics. He had personally spoke to Hindu and Muslims and there was no enmity between them.

At the end of his peech he said that his party does not play politics over human rights.
