Justice Sudip Ranjan Sen of Meghalaya High Court has said that nobody should try to make India an Islamic country, otherwise it will be a doomsday for India and the world. He began his judgment by tracing India’s partition and asserted that since the division was on the basis of religion, India should have been declared a Hindu country, too. The 61-year-old became a permanent judge of the Meghalaya High Court in January 2014.
He urged the Centre to bring in a legislation to allow Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhist, Parsis, Christians, Khasis, Jaintias and Garos who have come from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to live in this country without any question or production of any documents, the Indian Express reported.

He said he is “confident that only this Government under Shri Narendra Modiji will understand the gravity, and will do the needful and Chief Minister Mamataji will support the national interest in all respect”.
“This Court expects that Government of India will take care of this judgment in the historical background and save this country and its people,” he observed.
“I am not against my Muslim brothers and sisters who are residing in India for generations and abiding Indian laws, they should also be allowed to live peacefully,” he said.
“India was commanded by a Hindu Kingdom but thereafter the Mughal came to India and captured different parts of India and started ruling the country, and at that point of time many conversion took place by force,” he said.
