New Delhi:

Pakistan has been working on double pronged strategy to trouble India over the issue of Kashmir. Ever since New Delhi revoked the special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 on August 5, Pakistan has been trying to raise this issue at international forums. On the other hand, it has also been trying to push in terrorists and jihadis to esclate problems in Kashmir and other parts of India.

However, Pakistan has not been successful at both fronts. It has been beaten by Indian diplomatic efforts on several international fora. Indian security forces have foiled several attempts to infiltrate via line of control (LoC) in Kashmir.

It seems Pakistan is ready for another attempt to push in terrorists and has reactivated its terror camps and seven launch pads along the Line of Control (LoC).

A Times of India report quoting top intelligence sources said, Pakistan is trying to infiltrate around 275 terrorists, including Afghan and Pashtun mercenaries, into Jammu and Kashmir.

"Though the involvement of Afghan and Pashtun jihadists in Pakistan’s cross-border terrorism in Kashmir is not unprecedented, it is quite unusual," top intelligence sources told TOI. The report said that Pakistan is planning to use Afghan and Pashtun jihadists in Kashmir, so it can deny any involvement.

The report, quoting official documents, claimed that there are credible inputs that the Pakistani army and ISI have set up launch pads along the LoC with the maximum number of terrorists prepared to infiltrate through Gurez sector in north Kashmir.

It was earlier reported that Pakistan had shut down its terror camps and launch pads along the LoC and moved terrorists of various outfits to army installations, fearing international scrutiny and retaliation from India, after the Pulwama attack. India had launched air strikes on Jaish’s terror camps deep inside Pakistani territory in Balakot.
