New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi surely knows how to win his audiences. In the second instalment of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ today, the Prime Minister’s question on PUBG brought smile on many faces. While interacting with students at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, the Prime Minister was seen enquiring about the popular mobile game. In an answer to a question by a parent worried over her son’s mobile game addiction, the Prime Minister said that, “I will not say exposure to technology is a bad thing for students…. (but) technology should lead to expansion of the mind and as a means to innovate.”

“The PlayStation is good but never forget the playing field,” the Prime Minister said amid loud applause. PM Modi had held his first such interaction with the students in February last year. He had also released his book Exam Warriors -- a guide to help students battle the exam anxiety. This year’s event would also see a cultural programme of 10 minutes and screening of a short film on initiatives taken by the HRD Ministry since last year’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” to reduce exam-related stress. This time overseas students are also part of the interactive session.

PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular games in India right now. However, the popularity of the game has landed it in getting banned, this time in Jammu and Kashmir. As per a report published by news website pristinekashmir, the Jammu and and Kashmir Students Association has requested the government to ban the PUBG game immediately owing to poor 10th and 12th class results.

This is not the first time incident related to PUBG ban in Jammu and Kashmir. A few weeks back, a fitness trainer from Jammu had been hospitalised after injuring himself while playing PUBG Mobile for 10 days. The PUBG player was reportedly injured after he started hitting himself with blows and eventually ended up in the hospital. Doctors had reportedly termed his condition as 'losing his mental balance'.
