New Delhi:

Amid the full-scale preparations for US President Donald Trump’s India trip, sources in the intelligence agencies have revealed that several terror groups are planning to attack the high-profile visit. Intel sources told News Nation that Pakistan-based groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen are planning to carry out massive terror strikes during Trump’s visit. The sources also said that civilians, considered as ‘soft target’, will be on terrorists’ radar. Jaish attackers will try to specifically target ‘public spaces’, intel sources told News nation. Following the intel input, all security agencies are on high alert. ThoughTrump will begin his first ever India visit as the US President on February 24. The highlight of the trip will be the mega reception in Ahmedabad and the inauguration of stadium in Motera.

As against the buzz, Trump on Wednesday hinted that there may not be any major trade deal while he is visiting India. ‘Not right now,’ Trump said. However, there may be some sort of a ‘trade package’ between the two nations. Asked whether he expects a trade deal with India before the visit, Trump said, "We're doing a very big trade deal with India. We'll have it. I don't know if it'll be done before the election, but we'll have a very big deal with India." "We can have a trade deal with India. But I'm really saving the big deal for later," he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews Tuesday afternoon (local time).

Meanwhile, a Reuters report said that the Gujarat government has already spend close to Rs 100 crore to beautify Ahmedabad for Trump’s visit. The US President repeatedly spoken about ‘millions and millions’ of Indians welcoming him. May are comparing his visit to PM Modi’s Texas programme.

On February 24, Trump and PM Modi will address a gathering at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Motera. The seating capacity of the sprawling stadium is 1.10 lakh and over a lakh people are likely to be present at the gathering. However, construction of a 7-feet wall for Trump’s roadshow has triggered a controversy. According to a Reuters report, US President Donald Trump will be shielded from the sight of slums by a newly built wall when he visits the city of Ahmedabad during a visit to India this month. A senior government said the wall was being built for security reasons, not to conceal the slum district. But the contractor building it told Reuters the government "did not want the slum to be seen" when Trump passes by on the ride in from Ahmedabad's airport.
