New Delhi:
Indian Armed Forces on Saturday gunned down two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The encounter which started on Friday evening is over now.
The security personnel recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter in Dooru, reported news agency ANI.
Anantnag Police along with 19 RR and CRPF had launched a joint search operation in Dooru’s Shishtargam area which resulted in an encounter with the militants.
Preliminary investigation suggests that both the killed terrorists are from Pakistan. Based on seizures made from the spot & other incriminating materials collected so far confirmedthey were a part of outlawed JeM outfit: Police on Anantnag's Dooru encounter #JammuAndKashmir

Shesh Paul Vaid, Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu & Kashmir took to Twitter to inform that two AK47s, pistols, grenades and arms were recovered from the militants. Vaid wrote, ''In an encounter in Shishitergam Police station Dooru Anantnag; today morning two bodies of terrorists have been recovered along with two AK47s, pistols, grenades and arms and ammunition. Efforts are on to identify the bodies. Operation concluded. Keep up the good work boys.''

This is the second encounter this week after security forces launched an operation in Kupwara’s Arampora and killed five terrorists who opened fire at an Army patrol party.
