New Delhi:

The rainbow coalition of the Shiv Sena, the NCP and the Congress alliance has changed the political weather in Maharashtra. Even as the Thackeray clan readies for the first-ever swearing-in ceremony, a close confidant and senior party leader bid goodbye with a terse Hindutva-laced farewell note on Wednesday. Ramesh Solanki, the popular leader, who was associated with party for over two decades announced his resignation from the Shiv Sena. Solanki has clearly stated that he is extremely unhappy with the Shiv Sena joining hands with the Congress.

“I am resigning from my respected post in BVS/YuvaSena and @ShivSena I thank @OfficeofUT and Adibhai @AUThackeray for giving me opportunity to work and serve the people of Mumbai, Maharashtra and Hindustan. It all started for me in the year 1992, fearless leadership and charisma of Shri BalaSaheb Thackeray At the age of 12 I had made up my mind heart and soul to work for BalaSaheb's ShivSena Officially joined ShivSena in the year 1998,” Solanki wrote in a long Twitter thread.

“…and since then have been working in various posts and capacities following the Hindutva ideology of BalaSaheb Have seen many ups and downs Have seen n worked in many elections BMC/VidhanSabha/LokSabha etc with only one dream and one aim #HinduRashtra and #CongressMuktBharat. Its been almost 21 years never demanded post, position, or ticket just gave my all in day and night followed my party's order till the hilt ShivSena made a political decision and joined hands with @INCIndia and @NCPspeaks to form govt in Maharashtra,” Solanki reminded Shiv Sena about Balasaheb’s anti-Congress ideology.

“Congratulations and all the best for forming govt in Maharashtra and having ShivSena CM But my conscious and ideology doesnt permit me to work with Congress, I cant work half heartedly and it wont be fair to my post, my party my fellow ShivSainiks and my leaders. So with a heavy heart I am making most difficult decision of my life, I am resigning from @ShivSena. All ShivSainiks are n will always be my brothers and sisters, its a special bonding which blossomed during this 21 years I will always remain Balasaheb's ShivSainik at heart,” Solanki added.

There is a proverb "जब जहाज डूबता है सबसे पहले चूहे कूदकर भागते हैं" But I am leaving on a winning note I am leaving when ShivSena is in strong postion I am leaving when ShivSena is forming govt in Maharashtra I am walking out as proud ShivSainik for my ideology n principles. Solanki concluded his farwell note with terse Hindutva-laced goodbye. “Since last few days people are asking my stand Let me be very loud and clear " जो मेरे श्री राम का नहीं है ( Congress ) वो मेरे किसी काम का नहीं है " I once again thank Adibhai for giving me love and respect, it was wonderful experience working with you #JaiSriRam”
