PM Modi Launches Big Pension Schemes In Ranchi, 'Our Work In First 100 Days Is Just A Trailer'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the work done by his government in the first 100 days of its second term was 'just a trailer'. He was speaking in Ranchi where he launched ambitious big pension schemes and several developmental projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asserted that his government has taken several measures in the first 100 days of NDA 2.0 to rein in corruption, bring about development and root out terrorism.

Inaugurating a slew of projects in Ranchi, the prime minister also said that Jharkhand is the launching pad of big schemes beneficial for the poor and the tribals. 

The prime minister also said that he was happy to have got the opportunity to inaugurate multiple development projects in Jharkhand.
The new multi-modal cargo terminal, which was inaugurated here, will ease transportation in the region, he stated.

"Ayushman Bharat, the world's largest health assurance scheme, was launched in Jharkhand. Today, pension schemes for traders and farmers were also launched from this land of Birsa Munda. Jharkhand is the launching pad of big schemes beneficial for the poor and the tribals," he added.

PM Modi launched the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana' an ambitious pension scheme for the farmers from in Ranchi on Thursday.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana (PM-KMY), farmers between 18 and 40 years of age will get Rs 3,000 monthly pension after reaching 60. The prime minister also launched the 'Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyaparik Mandhan Yojana' and 'Swarojgar' pension schemes under which beneficiaries between 18 and 40 years will get Rs 3,000 per month after completing 60 years of age.

PM Modi also inaugurated the New Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha building and laid the foundation stone for the New Secretariat building at Ranchi. PM Modi also inaugurated a multi-modal terminal at Sahibganj.

"This water terminal in Jharkhand will not only connect the area to the rest of India but also to other countries. After this terminal the tribal brothers and sisters and farmers will be able to send their products to markets in the whole country easily," said PM Modi. 

The multi-modal terminal was built by Inland Waterways Authority of India on River Ganga at Sahibganj. It will have a cargo storing capacity of 30 lakh tonne per year, a stockyard and parking and berthing space for two vessels.
