BJP president Amit Shah inaugurated a two-day national council meeting of the party at Delhi’s Ramlila Ground on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the concluding speech on Saturday, laying down the agenda for the general elections. Speaking at the event, Shah said the Modi government has fulfilled the dream of millions of youth by passing the 10 per cent quota bill for economically weaker sections of upper castes (general category).

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, senior BJP leaders Murali Manohar Joshi and LK Advani are also present at the event.

"In Uttar Pradesh, I am in constant touch with the state unit and I can confidently say that the number of seats we win this time can become 74, but will not decrease to 72, says Amit Shah.
