Lucknow:
Director General of Police Uttar Pradesh Javeed Ahmed on Friday felicitated the anti-terrorist squad (ATS) officials and the commandos who gunned down suspected terrorist Saifullah in Lucknow.
The DGP felicitated the officials of the ATS and others at a function in the state capital and lauded them for carrying out the operation successfully, a police release issued here said.
Meanwhile, Inspector General (ATS) Aseem Arun also honoured the locals who provided immense support to his team in conducting the operation which lasted for 13 hours.
Six locals including Luvkush, Mohd Amir, Mohd Sayeed, Mohd Salim, Mohd Abdul Salam and Mohd Javed were felicitated at a programme at IG ATS’ office here.
These people had provided vital assistance to the ATS and also risked their lives extending help in cutting the roof and wall of the house in which the terror suspect was holed up for in the house in Haji Colony in Kakori area of Lucknow on March 7, the release added.
