In another tragedy involving children, 34 students of a government school in Dhule, Maharashtra were admitted to a hospital after drinking polluted water. 

Earlier in Madhubani and Chhapra, several school children fell ill after consuming mid-day meals in government schools.

On Wednesday morning, devastated families in the village of Masrakh in Bihar buried children who died after a free lunch they were served in school on Tuesday.

Also, at least 50 children were hospitalised after eating their mid-day meal at another school in the state's Madhubani district. None were critically ill.
