New Delhi:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is all set to visit Ayodhya on Saturday. It is to be noted that this will be Uddhav Thackeray's first to Ayodhya after becoming Maharashtra Chief Minister. Thackeray took the oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister on November 28, 2019. Coming back to his Ayodhya visit, Uddhav Thackeray will be accompanied by his son Aaditya Thackeray - tourism minister of Maharashtra.

During his Ayodhya visit, Uddhav Thackeray will offer prayers at the Ram Lalla temple at Ramjanambhoomi and Hanumangarhi to mark the competition of his 100 days in office. Thackeray is likely to hold a press conference today at 3.30 PM. However, he cancelled his programme to attend ‘aarti’ on the banks of Sarayu River due to a novel coronavirus outbreak.

On Friday, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said, “Maharashtra Chief Minister & Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya tomorrow but will not participate in 'Aarti' programme on the banks of Sarayu River due to coronavirus.”

Earlier, on Thursday, Shiv Sainiks departed for Ayodhya in a special train from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus railway station. "A special train has been booked by an individual through IRCTC from Mumbai (LTT) to Ayodhya and return. The train carrying Shiv Sainiks departed about 45 minutes late from its scheduled time of 1.15 PM from LTT and it will reach on Friday evening," TOI had quoted a railway officer as saying.

He further stated that on Saturday, the train will embark on its return journey at 11.20 PM and it will reach LTT on Monday at 5 AM.

It is worth mentioning here that in November 2018, Uddhav Thackeray had first visited Ayodhya with his family. At that time, his party had booked two special trains - one from Mumbai and another from Nashik - for bringing Shiv Sainiks.
