Body of a 16-year-old student from Bihars Muzaffarpur district, who was preparing for IIT entrance examination in Kota and has been missing since November 19, was found this morning from Chambal River.
Aashish Satyam, son of Sadu Charan Shaha, had gone missing from his rented accommodation and his body was found floating in the river near Govindham under Jhawaharnagar police station, said OP Sharma, the investigating officer (IO) and SI at Jhawaharnagar police station.
The body was fished out and handed over to family members after post-mortem, he said. Sharma said Satyam left a suicide note in his room which is addressed to his father.
He has written in the purported suicide note that he was taking the extreme step due to study stress, the IO said.
Satyam had been taking coaching at an institute here for around one-and-a-half year and was staying at a rented accommodation with one of his friends in Talwandi area of the city, the SI said.
He said, on November 19, a missing persons report was filed and Satyams parents were informed. He said a case under relevant sections has been lodged in this connection, he said.
Around 1.75 lakhs students from across the country come to Kota every year to take coaching for entrance in engineering and medical colleges.
