New Delhi:

Modi will be attending his third meeting of the Parliamentary Board as the party gears up for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met BJP president Rajnath Singh to discuss election campaign-related work allocation and issues on which the party should take on Congress.

Modi's meeting with Singh and Jaitley came a day after the Chief Minister's one-on-one meeting with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur on Tuesday.

BJP is likely to make announcements about allocation of responsibilities to its General Secretaries and office bearers on Thursday after a Parliamentary Board meeting.

The Parliamentary Board, the party's highest decision-making forum, will also discuss BJP's strategy for the monsoon session of Parliament beginning on August 5.

The Food Security Ordinance and the state of the economy are prominent issues that BJP plans to take up in the session.
