New Delhi:

From Ram Mandir to Rafale to Triple Talaq, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday addressed several ongoing issues in an exclusive chat with News Nation. As 2019 Lok Sabha Election is just a few months away, the government buckles under the pressure with the Opposition trying to corner them on several contentious issues in the Winter Session of Parliament. The session will be a test of opposition unity since this is the last full-fledged parliament session before the 2019 Lok Sabha election due by May.

In his very first interview of 2019, Naqvi sat down with senior anchor Ajay Kumar and answered questions regarding several issues, including those related to the Triple Talaq Bill, Rahul Gandhi's series of allegations over Rafale fighter jet deal and the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

In the 15-minute-long interview, Naqvi clarified that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given a befitting reply to Rahul Gandhi's baseless allegations over Rafale. The Union minister further said the Congress chief is making a vain attempt to mislead the nation ahead of the 2019 General Elections.

In an inquiry about the Bihar seat-sharing arrangement, Naqvi refuted the reports of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being pressurised by its allies. The union minister has further promised to go hand-in-hand with all the coalition parties under the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 2019.

Showing confidence in the BJP's victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, the Union minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to power yet again in 2019 and is all set to continue his developmental works across the nation.

On Triple Talaq, the Minority Affairs Minister said the move to pass the Muslim Women Bill (Triple Talaq) 2018 in Rajya Sabha was all about giving constitutional rights to the Muslim women of the country.

Being asked about the construction of Ram Temple, Naqvi said there are still five months left before Lok Sabha elections and the time period is more than enough for any developmental work.
