New Delhi:
A Mumbai man fearing to lose the custody of children allegedly stabbed his wife in the face at Mira Road on Tuesday late.
The woman suffered injuries severe injuries on her face and neck. She is being treated in a private hospital.
The police is yet to lodge the victim’s statement.
The accused has been identified as Imran Khan. He got married to victim, Sonober and they filed for divorce in Thane court almost a year ago. The couple has two kids aging six and nine years.

The victim’s father told the media that they had been to the Naya Nagar market. “Imran was following us and he attacked my daughter with knife and managed to escape in the crowd,” he added.
The victims further has also suffered injuries in the attack.
He added Imran had been threatening them of dire consequences if he lost the custody of two kids.
A senior police office said that they are waiting for the victim to regain her health so that they can take the statement.
