New Delhi:

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Monday called cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu and actors Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan traitors.  “They are like Rajpur king Jaichand and Najafi Nawab of Bengal Mir Jafar,” the senior RSS leader was quoted as saying by ANI.

Mir Jafar was the first Najafi Nawab of Bengal and his rule was widely considered to be the beginning of British imperialism. Jaichand was a king of the Gahadavala dynasty and he allied with the foreign Ghurids to ensure Prithviraj's downfall. He is remembered as a symbol of treachery in folklore.

He also said that India doesn’t need Muslim youth like Ajmal Kasab (lone terrorist caught alive after 26/11 attack), but rather like former president APJ Abdul Kalam.

“India doesn’t need Muslim Youth like Kasab, Yakub, and Ishrat Jahan but rather those who walk on the path shown by Kalam. Those who walk on the path of Kasab will be considered only as traitors,” Indresh Kumar said

“They may be good actors (Navjot Singh Sidhu, Naseeruddin Shah, and Aamir Khan) but they don’t deserve respect as they are traitors. They are like Mir Jafar and Jaichand,” he added.

Naseeruddin Shah was targeted by the RSS and BJP after he said that in India the death of a cow was given more importance than that of a police officer. Shah had made this remark while referring to Bulandshahr violence on December 3, in which a police inspector was killed following the discovery of cattle carcasses in a field.

Kumar also said that Congress, Left parties, communal religious forces, and few judges are responsible for the delay in Ayodhya case hearing.
