Kannauj:
Doctors and nurses at a government hospital in Kannauj on Wednesday came under scanner for allegedly charging hefty money for doing ultrasounds of pregnant patients.
The allegations have been levelled by several female patients. According to a patient, Nazada Begum -, “A female doctor in the district hospital charges Rs 100 for every ultrasound, even when it is free for pregnant ladies like us.”
On being questioned by News Nation reporter, the female doctor tried to evade the blame by calling it a lie.
When contacted, CMS, Kannauj Dr CP Singh, said, "the allegations are serious and against law. He also said that a probe has been ordered in the case.”
