India is all set to celebrate the festival of colours-Holi on Friday, March 2. The much-loved festival marks the advent of spring and is incomplete without colours, sweets and bhang.
From smearing each other faces with Gulaal (Colours) and saying ‘Bura Na Mano Holi Hai’ to going to eating gujiyas, holi is all about spreading love and harmony.
Popular folk singer Malini Awasthi who has won millions of hearts with her songs performed for a special programme on News Nation. The singer crooned several Holi songs setting up the mood for the festival.
The melodious singer opened up the musical and colourable extravaganza with the song ‘Rang Dalo’ and the band supported her. Malini dressed in a traditional ethnic avatar said that Holi is the festival of love and peace.
