New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again blow Modi wave with a motive to sweep Assembly Elections in Assam. He is scheduled for nothing less than five rallies in Tinsukia, Majuli, Bihpuria, Bokakhat and Jorhat on Saturday to woo the voters. With this he will also become the first Prime Minister to visit Majuli Island located between the rivers Brahmputra and Lohit.

Hopes for development of the island have been set high as Prime Minister will address nearly 8000 people on the Kerala Gaon field in Garmur area.

Majauli is one of the biggest river islands on earth with a 60-decade old heritage, and still awaits for basic developments since 67 years of independence. The landscape is connected with the Jorhat town only by a 50-minute long ferry boat service.

BJP has made an agenda which primarily focuses on the development of this island. CM candidate Sarbananda Sonwal will be contesting from Majauli in upcoming Assembly Elections. Majuli goes on polling in the first phase of the elections on April 4.
