Raipur:

In Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh slammed Opposition on Saturday for using foul language against Congress leaders and Chief Ministers.

While addressing a rally in Raipur, Manmohan Singh said, “The BJP Government in Chhattisgarh has turned out to be a complete spoilsport, especially when talking in terms of dealing with Naxalism.”

He also slammed the BJP party officials for using foul language against Congress leaders and Chief Ministers and called it ‘a cheap publicity stunt’.

Singh further said, “BJP is not capable to govern the country merely by just holding grand rallies and mentioning the work done by Congress government”, he added, “We can proudly say that in last nine years, the development under UPA is greater than ever before. The permit for the power station is the proof that UPA is working for the development of Chhattisgarh. Our govt has made roads longer than 17,000 kms in last 10 years. Besides, electricity has also increased more than ever.”

Speaking on the Darba Ghati Naxal attack he said, “Such attacks on Congress leaders cannot demoralize us”.

“Although we do criticize the opposition, but will never use inappropriate words against them. We will never go below our dignity. Some of the BJP leaders are even now changing history and geography of the country, by making big speeches from big platforms but they won’t come to power,” Singh said.

“Both GDP and per capita income have been better under UPA government. A BJP leader lauded Raman Singh government for acting after Naxals killed Congress leaders, but he never referred to the security lapses,” added Manmohan Singh.
