Delhi crime branch team and Patna Police have successfully rescued Rajasthan based marble business man’s abducted sons in Lakhisarai. Six kidnappers have been arrested and interrogations are underway.
Suresh Kumar and Kapil Dev Sharma were kidnapped on Oct 21 from Patna airport. The kidnappers had asked for ransom of 4 crore from their parents. They belong to Karauli district of Rajasthan.
The victim were lured to come over to Patna for an order of marble tiles and chips to be used for the construction of an upcoming mall near Patna. The kidnappers even got the air tickets arranged for the duo for date 21.10.16 by Go Airlines at 5 PM. They were kidnapped on reaching Patna airport parking at around 6:45 PM.
The kidnapping module seems similar to Mewat modules modus operandi where far off business men from Gujarat have been lured in the past to come to Delhi.
The crime branch took leads from Badarpur area of Delhi and further interrogations lead to kidnappers in Lakhisarai.
This successful operation was headed by Patna SSP Manu Maharaj. It was carried out on basis of leads and inputs from crime branch Delhi. Crime branch team was deployed to assist the Bihar Police team.
