New Delhi:

The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, on Friday said that people are unnecessarily pointing fingers at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal even as the latter is recuperating from an illness at a naturopathy centre in Bengaluru.

"Which gate did Arvind exit, where did he look, left or right, what was the colour of his shirt, All these people who are unnecessarily pointing a finger at Arvind should know that he was in Prithvi Reddy's car and he denied Z plus security, even after all this if people want to call him VIP, its fine," said Sisodia.

Earlier in the day, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that Kejriwal makes a lot of claims about simplicity but he is enjoying the VVIP status.

The incident reported from Bangalore clearly shows that the AAP does not practice what it preaches , contrary to their claims in manifestos and otherwise. This is a huge disappointment to the people of Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal makes a lot of claims about his own simplicity, but he is truly revelling and enjoying his VVIP status," said BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao.

The BJP leader said Kejriwal, unfortunately, has never practiced what he professed.

Kejriwal stoked controversy yesterday after his car passed through two toll gates in Karnataka without paying for passage.

The AAP chief is currently undergoing treatment at a naturopathy institute in Bangalore for his chronic cough and diabetes.
