PM Narendra Modi who is on a two-day visit to Qatar on Sunday met with business leaders and discussed trade and investment opportunities. “India's 800 million youth are its biggest strength. Infrastructure expansion & upgradation & manufacturing are my other priorities,” said PM Modi.

PM Modi reached Doha, capital of Qatar on Saturday night where he was greeted and received by Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. There he addressed Indian workers at a medical camp.

India’s relationship with Gulf countries is of utmost importance seeing the crucial energy needs of the country. This meeting can hold valuable decisions when it comes to boosting trade ties with the Qatar Business community. Earlier, PM Modi had visited United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Modi becomes the first prime minister to visit Qatar in the last eight years after Manmohan Singh who had visited Doha in 2008.

During his interaction, PM Modi sang praises for the role of Emir of Qatar in promoting India Qatar business ties during his five-nation tour. This meeting is being seen to be of vital importance when it comes to promoting traed and investment opportunities with Qatar Business community.
