A policeman was shot dead by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday, police said. Constable Khurshid Ahmad Ganai was shot by unknown gunmen outside his residence at Koil in Pulwama this morning, a police official said.
He said Ganai sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. The cop, however, succumbed to injuries at the hospital, the official said.Amid continuous Curfew of 50 days, suspected militants shot dead a policeman in Quil area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reports said.
Early morning, men armed with guns fired shots at constable Khurshid Ahmad Ganai outside his house in Quil in the volatile southern district, Kashmir Dispatch reported.Ganai, who was on way to the district police lines Pulwama, sustained critical injuries in the attack. He was taken to sub-district hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
