After discussing #Mughals for entire day, Indian Twitter is raving about sarees. Unless you have been living under a rock or you are an anti-social media activist, chances are you have already seen women posting beautiful saree photos. #SareeTwitter has become the top trend with not just women but men also posting photos of their wives, mothers and daughters. On Wednesday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi joined the #SareeTwitter group with a stunning throwback wedding photo. “Morning puja on the day of my wedding (22 years ago!) #SareeTwitter,” Priyanka wrote on Twitter.
Other women politicians, actresses who have posted the saree photos include Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi, BJP’s Nupur Sharma and yesteryear’s star Nagma.
Saree dipicts our Indian tradition and culture. It is also supposed to be known as our sexiest costume. One looks dignified , elegant, beautiful , graceful and yet can seem very appealing in it #SareeTwitter pic.twitter.com/gVIuAZ6Uco— Nagma (@nagma_morarji) July 15, 2019
Gul Panag also joined the #SareeTwitter with sweet elevator selfie.
D Roopa, former DIG Prison, gave an apt caption as he posted her saree pic. “Joining the bandwagon, delayed though.. #SareeTwitter Saree, the elegant national dress.”
“It's so beautiful to see so many ladies and a few men participate in #SareeTwitter Here's one of my favourites #Paithani Kudos to all our weavers for keeping this priceless tradition alive,” Renuka Shahane said on micro-blogging site.
