Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would be on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Amethi, from July 23 along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi.
However, unlike his previous visits, this one would be different given that the brother-sister duo are expected to sit together to give a final shape to the re-organisation of the party in Amethi.
In the past, Priyanka had taken up party re-organisation in Rae Bareli alone by holding interviews and meeting probable candidates.
While Rahul is likely to stay for three days, Priyanka is likely to leave on July 24. Both are also likely to hold a day-long meeting with workers.
A party leader said teams formed to select a panel of three candidates for each of the 17 blocks and five town areas in the constituency have completed the process and, the Gandhis are expected to meet about 110 selected candidates in the first two days.
"This time, panels of names have been selected by organisation people only, including AICC, PCC members from that particular Assembly segment as well as party candidate during the last Assembly elections.
A panel with three names from each block and town area is ready for final decision," said Chandra Kant Dubey, representative of Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
He said Rahul would stay till July 25.
Rahul would also lay the foundation stone for some development projects in his constituency.
