New Delhi:
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Tuesday hoisted tricolour in presence of group of 50 woman bikers who reached Khardung La Pass to promote women empowerment.
"Proud moment for all. Tricolor hoisted at highest motorable road (Khardung La pass). Women power is strengthening," said Rajyavardhan.
Khardung La is a mountain pass in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.
The elevation of Khardung La is 5,359 m (17,582 ft). It is claimed that its elevation is in the vicinity of 5,602 m (18,379 ft) and that it is the world's highest motorable pass.
