Chandigarh:
In a shocking incident, three persons, including a woman, made away cash and diamond jewellery worth around Rs 14 crore. The loot took place in a shop located near Deputy Commissioner’s office at the market in Sector 17 here, they said.
As per a report, the incident took place around 12.15 pm in the presence of the showroom owners. The robbers also theft Digital Video Recorder (DVR) which had the CCTV recording.
Police have registered a case and the probe has been started. The CCTV footage of the showrooms located near Forever Diamond where the robbery took place. Wireless messages were flashed in the neighbouring states.
The city borders were sealed immediately after the incident. Police said the robbers pointed guns at people in the shop. Investigation is on, they said.
