Trend of clicking selfie in this country has been growing from last few years. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan everyone have been busy in clicking selfies.

But this selfie fever has sent a 18-year old youth to jail in Lucknow. Yes, it’s true a youth has been held and sent to 14-day police custody after he clicked selfie with B Chandrakala, District Magistrate Bulandshahr.

The incident was reported on February 01.

B Chandrakala, a renowned IAS officer in UP, said the youth was continuously clicking pictures, even after being told that he should take permission before taking the snaps. The DM also said, when he was asked to delete the pics, he refused saying this is my camera, and my wish.

Expressing her shock over the reply, the IAS said everyone should take other person’s consent before taking pictures.

In 2014, the 2008 batch IAS officer became famous in the social media after she publicly pulled up civic officials and contractors for sub-standard road construction.
