Former Karnataka chief minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah triggered yet another controversy on Wednesday when he lost his cool during a brief conversation with a man and ended up slapping him in front of media outside the Mysuru airport in Karnataka.
In a video going viral on social media platforms, a Congress worker is seen standing next to Siddaramaiah and was apparently trying to make him talk to someone over the phone. Siddaramaiah was at the Mysuru airport to address the media and slapped the man, one of his aids, after being forced repeatedly to recommend his name to some official.
"Congress leader and Karnataka's former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah slaps his aide outside Mysuru Airport," the news agency ANI reported along with the video where an irritated Siddaramaiah is caught slapping the man after listening to him for a brief.

Earlier in January, the Congress leader landed in a controversy after he engaged in a verbal duel with a woman and snatched the microphone from her, dislodging her dupatta in the process at an event in Varuna in Mysuru.
A video showed a wordy duel between Siddaramaiah and the woman, a former district panchayat member, who said she was upset that his son Yathindra "showed up" seven months after getting elected. Miffed over her remarks, Siddaramaiah asked the woman to shut up and sit down.
With political leaders from across party lines condemning Siddaramaiah for losing cool, he later took to Twitter and played down the incident, saying it was an accident and that the woman is like his sister.
